CATR E-roundtable on Indigenous Theatre and Research Methods
Moderator: Deneh’Cho Thompson
This panel is accompanied by a short online performance from Thirdspace Edmonton Playback Theatre, a BIPOC collective focused in ‘playback’ theatre. Thirdspace uses a highly theoretical approach in this community focused project dealing with notions of identity and representation. The accompanying 30min performance immediately precedes the panel, which features indigenous theatre artists and scholars in conversation about place-based and relational practices as they relate to the positionality of Indigenous theatre makers and the inscription of Indigenous identities through the telling of story.

Table ronde virtuelle de l’ACRT sur le théâtre autochtone et les méthodes de recherche
Modérateur: Deneh’Cho Thompson
Cette table ronde sera accompagnée d’une courte performance en ligne du Thirdspace Edmonton Playback Theatre, un collectif BIPOC (personnes noires, autochtones ou racisées) spécialisé dans le théâtre « playback ». Thirdspace utilise une approche très théorique dans ce projet axé sur la communauté qui traite des notions d’identité et de représentation. La performance de 30 minutes précédera immédiatement la table ronde qui réunira des artistes de théâtre et des chercheur·se·s autochtones discutant des pratiques relationnelles et basées sur le lieu, cela en lien avec la position des créateur·rice·s autochtones et l’inscription des identités autochtones dans la mise en récit de leurs histoires.
L’heure de la table ronde est sujette à changement ; un lien Zoom sera envoyé à l’approche de l’événement
