Positions to be filled: Associate Conference Facilitator & Membership and Registration Coordinator

These positions are intended for unemployed or precariously employed scholars and graduate students. Passive French-English bilingualism required. Applicants should have the ability to read and understand the other official language. We value diversity in the organization of the conference. Associate Conference Facilitator – $3000 15 May to 15 July

JOB DESCRIPTION
Work with the Conference Facilitator on the following activities:
– liaise with the Conference Organizing Committee to map out the work of the conference that is still remaining
– make a task list of all work to be completed and allocate that work to support staff or committees
– oversee task list and ensure that work stays on track
– oversee all conference support staff, including Undergraduate Synchronous Assistants
– drive the new website creation work and ensure that it develops in a timely fashion
– be the primary contacts for members re: the conference, either responding to their requests or directing them to support staff or committees
– work with the Fundraising and Financial Management committee to ensure that the conference budget stays on track and that payments are made in a timely fashion

Membership and Registration Coordinator – $2000 15 May to 15 July


JOB DESCRIPTION- work with the Membership officers of both CATR and SQET to ensure that all conference participants have purchased memberships
– carefully track participants and their membership status
– administer all donated memberships, ensuring parity between SQET and CATR and providing both organizations with detailed reports on this activity
– ensure that guest speakers and roundtable guests have donated memberships
– answer members’ membership questions
