CATR 2024: Staging Justice: People, Places, Planet, and Practice
Online Act: June 5-6 & In-Person Act at McGill: June 17-20
Are you joining us for CATR Conference 2024 at Congress? We’re looking forward to having a record amount of presenters and attendees this year!

Here’s some information you’ll need regarding CATR Membership, Congress Registration, and Accommodations in Montreal. We strongly recommend taking care of these items as soon as you can —especially accommodations because there are a lot of people across different federations at Congress all booking at the same time!

CATR Membership
To register for the 2024 Conference you must be a current member of CATR. To join the Association or renew your membership, please follow this link: Forms | Federation (

As part of this process, you can also make donations to CATR’s Indigenous Host Initiative, Precarious Scholars/Graduate Student Travel Subsidy, and Denis Salter Grants. Once you have renewed or joined you can register for the Conference.

Congress Registration
If you are attending ACT II in-person June 17-20 at McGill University, you need to register for Congress and CATR’s in-person Act at this link: Congress 2024 Registration ( Once you have registered for Act II (in-person), you will automatically be given access to Act I (online).

Please consider purchasing more than one banquet ticket and offering your extras to graduate students or precarious scholars you know will be attending.
Early Bird pricing, for both the online and in-person Acts, is in effect until March 31, 2024, when all rates will increase by 20%.

Each in-person participant is responsible for booking their own accommodation in Montreal. We strongly recommend booking now because there will be many folks trying to book the same accommodations from other federations for the same dates. Information about accommodation can be found Congress 2024 Accommodation Information
