In 2026, CATR celebrates and reflects on 50 years of supporting scholars and scholar-practitioners across the country, culminating at our annual conference hosted by the University of Victoria.
CATR 2026: Inheritances in Transition : Rehearsing Change for Theatre and Performance Futures!
These contexts prompt this call to collectively investigate our field's inheritances and, in the process, rehearse new futures. Our 50th Anniversary has a 'Janus-headed' focus: Honour and productively critique CATR's past 50 years and 'blue-sky' envision futures for the next 50! Members from across generations and career moments - from emerging to emerita - and our man partner organizations are participating in our 50th anniversary programming throughout the year.
Donate to CATR's Initiatives
Donations from our members and supporters are a vital aspect of CATR/ACRT’s culture of encouragement and mutual support. Every year, generous donations fund our Underfunded Scholars Initiative, our Indigenous Host Initiative, Grad Student Travel, the 50th Anniversary Fund, and the Denis Salter Grants. CATR/ACRT is a not-for-profit society and registered charity. All donors receive tax receipts.
