Robert G. Lawrence Prize (2015) Invitation and Criteria
The Robert Lawrence Prize was established in 1995 by the Association to honour the memory and contribution of a valued member and friend. The prize recognizes the research of an emerging scholar who has presented an outstanding paper in an open or curated panel session at the Association’s yearly conference. (Position papers presented as part of seminar, roundtable or workshop sessions are not ordinarily eligible for consideration.) The award of $200.00 is supported by the generous donations of Mrs Robert G. Lawrence.
The award is open to graduate students and emerging scholars who recently completed their PhD (less than five years) and who present a paper in either French or English at the annual CATR/ACRT conference.
If you are an emerging scholar presenting a paper at this year’s conference and would like to be considered for the award, please email Moira Day, Chair of the Lawrence Committee, at moira.day@usask.ca by Monday, May 18. That way we can make sure members of the adjudication committee will be present at your panel.
Immediately following the conference, please forward a copy of your presentation to Moira Day by email attachment.
The criteria for the award include the depth and detail of the paper as well as the quality of its presentation.

Prix Robert G. Lawrence (2015) Invitation et Critères
Le Prix Robert Lawrence fut créé en 1995 par l’Association à l’honneur de la mémoire et de la contribution d’un ami et membre estimé. Le prix reconnaît les recherches d’un.e jeune chercheur.e qui fait une communication exceptionnelle dans une séance ouverte ou thématique au cours du colloque annuel de l’Association. (Des mises au point présentées comme contribution à un séminaire, une table ronde ou un atelier ne sont pas normalement considérées). C’est grâce au soutien généreux de Mme Robert G. Lawrence que nous allouons le montant de 200$ au gagnant.
Le prix est offert aux étudiant.e.s en études supérieures et aux jeunes chercheur.e.s qui ont obtenu récemment leur doctorat (moins de cinq ans) et qui font une communication en français ou en anglais au colloque annuel de l’ACRT/CATR.
Si vous êtes un.e jeune chercheur.e qui fera une communication au colloque de cette année et si vous voulez qu’on vous considère pour le prix, veuillez envoyer un courriel à Moira Day (moira.day@usask.ca), présidente du comité Lawrence, avant le 18 mai. De cette façon nous serons en mesure d’assurer que des membres du jury assistent à votre séance.
Immédiatement après le colloque, veuillez envoyer une copie de votre présentation en attachement numérique à Moira Day.
La profondeur et la précision de la communication figurent parmi les critères du prix, aussi bien que la qualité de la présentation.
